One afternoon the word "broken" came to mind. Hungry for a new song I quickly wrote what came to mind I knew The Lord was speaking these words to me and those words became these:
Broken was we
When sin griped us down
And life took its turn
Until the Light came down

How life tore us apart
And let us there to die
He took us as broken as we are

Broken life we lived
Life was gloom and despair
When The Lord came to me
He healed my broken Spirit

Jesus took us in
we were ashamed of what was us
